Wise Women was created by two women, Katherine and Noelle.
They met in the rooms of recovery at age 22.
At this ripe age they had already endured many scenes of darkness.
They were determined to change the life they were leading.
Noelle practiced social work and Katherine practiced yoga.
Slowly life became colorful, joyful and meaningful.
They addressed past traumas, feelings of guilt, shame and self-loathing.
They gifted themselves stability, safety and nourishment.
They found their medicine, their voice, presence and strength.
They harnessed boundaries and developed healthy friendships and marriages.
They became mothers.
13 years later these women joined together with one mission in mind, to share their medicine.
Our dear founder, Katherine, left this earth during child birth on December 5th, 2021.Katherine had a vision that once we heal ourselves we can heal our community and that will raise the collective vibration of humanity. Katherine surrendered to the flow of life by allowing her heart and soul to lead her purpose. Her vision was one titled, "We Heal Together".
Noelle is still called to carry the vision they created together and to live, counsel and teach the in's and outs of authentic living with Katherine guiding us in loving spirit.

Here is a glimpse of our service work:
We have sat with mothers who lost their children to addiction, We helped them to embrace what is lost and to move forward with what is now. They taught us a mother's love never wavers and we rose together.
We found housing for a homeless man. That didn't work for him. He taught us that he has the right to self-determination and we taught him how to be resourced.
We have sat in many circles with children, we taught them social/emotional skills. They taught us to take it easy.
We told injection drug users they were positive with Hepatitis C and HIV and witnessed their tears while they processed the diagnosis. I taught them to embrace the lesson in the lesson. They taught me that life in our bodies is not everlasting.
We held eyes with the women who sold their bodies for money and drugs. WE respected them, they learned self-respect. They taught us perseverance.
We have held the teenager's hand after the 3rd suicide attempt. We walked and talked about what would happen after death, he decided to live. He taught us that life was worth living.
We have processed the sexual, physical, and mental abuse that so many of us endured as children and learned the meaning of powerlessness, presence, and self-forgiveness. We learned to forgive our abusers.
We have gathered women to teach the skills of mothering. They taught us that they already knew how to mother. We are coded to mother.
WE have sat in front of countless women who abandoned their inner knowing, to keep others happy. We taught them to nourish their sacred hearts and they taught us that we hea together..
We have walked with women who wanted to end their marriages we taught them how to heal their inner child. They taught us to tend to our relationships.
